- Higher chances of winning
How to Play Roulette
- Player makes bets
- The croupier (dealer) throws a ball into the spinning roulette wheel.
- Croupier will announce “no more bets” while the ball is rolling at the wheel
- The ball lands on a number in the roulette wheel. If someone bet on the number, section or color that the ball falls on, they will win according to the betting odds.
Players can bet on:
- Inside Bets are placed directly on one or more numbers
- Outside Bets bets not placed on numbers, ex: high low, odd-even, red-black, first, second and third dozen etc.
- Other Combinations of bets can also be made

The Corner/The Square/The Four Number Bet
Player bets that one of four selected numbers will win. S/he can only bet this way if the four numbers form a square (hence the name). Player bets by placing the chip(s) on the intersection where all four numbers meet.
The Five Number Bet
Also known as “The Monster” or “The Beast”. This is only found on the American double-zero wheels. It involves betting on the following numbers: 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3.
The Line Bet/Six Number Bet/Sixline Bet

The Dozens Bet
Player bets on whether one of a dozen numbers on the layout will hit. They are not a dozen consecutive numbers on the wheel, but are layout numbers. Player will put their chip(s) on the First Dozen, Second Dozen, or Third Dozen. Player can bet on two of the dozens.

Special betting combinations that are most commonly used in French Roulette, although it’s also available in many variations of online European Roulette.
Neighbors of Zero
Also known as “the grand series”, it’s a bet that covers 17 numbers on the wheel, all close to the green zero. Players bet at least 9 chips to cover all the numbers. The odds of winning this bet is 45.9%. The payout isn’t fixed, and can go as high as 24:1 depending on the winning number.
Thirds of the Wheel
12 numbers directly across the Neighbors of Zero. Probability of winning this 32.4%, and the payout is 17:1.
Zero Game is a smaller version of Neigbors of Zero, covering only 7 numbers close to the green zero slot. Odds of winning this bet are 18.9%, while payout can reach 26 to 1.
This bet covers the numbers not mentioned in the other bets. Chance of winning this bet is 21.6%, with payout either 35:1 or 17:1.
If 0 or 00 hits, dealer takes half your bet and returns the other half. This lowers the house edge from 5.26% to 2.63%. not all casinos include Surrender in their Game Rules.
This is best when it comes to European Roulette since house edge decreases to 1.35%.
When the ball falls on the 0 European single-zero wheels, even money bet is locked up and neither is won or lost. It’s “put in a prison”.
Player bets black, gets 0.
The black bet stays on the table for the next round.
If Black wins, player gets their bet back. If Red wins, player loses their bet.
And if 0 hits again, bet continues to stay on the table, “stays in prison”.
